EPISODE 253: Khiara Henry

In July of 2019, 23-year-old Khiara Henry was visiting Hawaii, enjoying a leisure trip by herself. An avid traveler and accomplished athlete, Khiara joined several tour groups for hikes and sightseeing on her vacation. On July 21, 2019, Khiara rented a car from the Kahului airport. The last confirmed sighting of Khiara was on surveillance footage at the rental agency. Less than a week later, an employee of the rental car company contacted Khiara's sister to let her know that the vehicle was found abandoned in a state park. No one has seen Khiara Henry since. This is a story with many questions and unconfirmed sightings, but none of the leads they have received have led to finding Khiara.

EPISODE 252: Joan Bernal Part 2

On December 9, 1988, Joan Bernal and her family were preparing to leave their home in Joliet, Illinois, and head to Texas to visit her husband's family for the holidays. Things didn't go as planned, and they were only able to bring one of their children. According to Joan's husband Gil, he dropped Joan off near a McAlester, Oklahoma bus stop, and gave her some cash to get back to Illinois. Joan Bernal has never been seen or heard from again. 

In this second installment, we will look at Gil's history and hear his version of events. We will also go over statements given to the police when Joan first went missing to get a better idea of what happened to Joan Bernal.

EPISODE 251: Joan Bernal Part 1

In December of 1988, Joan Bernal, her husband, and their children had plans to leave their home in Joliet, Illinois, and head to Texas to visit her husband's family for the holidays. Things didn't go as planned, and they weren't able to bring Joan's children from a previous marriage due to custody issues. According to Joan's husband Gil, they decided to make the trip anyway, and Joan got upset along the way. Gil stated that he dropped her off near a McAlester, Oklahoma bus stop, and gave her some cash to get back to Illinois. The plan was that Joan would pick up her other children and fly down to Texas. Joan Bernal has never been seen or heard from again. This case is full of different stories of what happened to Joan, whether she may still be alive, and questions surrounding her disappearance.
